Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Written without collaborators and based on decades of tape recordings he made throughout his career, HITMAN is Bret Hart's brutally honest, perceptive and startling account of his life in and out of the ring that proves once and for all that great things come in pink tights.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best there is
This is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be of wrestling books!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - What could have been...
I came into this book with an open mind. However, Bret Hart's book was supposedly based on "fact" because he carried around a tape recorder for twenty years so he'd remember, right? Not quite, too many times things seemed to change to make Bret look like the good guy when events have been noted to have happened different ways in other books.

It was nice to see a lot of things from Bret's perspective, but let's get real, the man has been whining non stop for nearly 12 years now...did ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best Wrestling Bio
I read Bret's book and over the summer and all I can say is that this Book is a must read for any Hitman fan and it will appeal to any wrestling fan and mark. A true story that puts you in the POV of Hart and he does not hold back. He talks about other peoples faults while doing the same to himself. It really shed a lot of light on the Hitman. I thought I knew everything about Bret via the internet, but this book really puts it all into perspective. I really enjoyed this book and I just could not put ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - he is not telling the whole story
bret hart was my favorite wrestler and i wanted to buy the book just to listen his side of the story i also have the book of shawn michaels and i wanted to compare notes for example shawn michaels talks about him sleeping with sunny a diva wrestler back in the 90s and shes was married to another wrestler chris candido and in this book bret never talks about that knowing the everybody knows he slept with her he skip it wish i didnt like at all and also he never credits her wife for talking care of his ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Bittersweet Tale
Bret Hart was indeed one of the most entertaining wrestlers ever. He never had a real bad, cartoon gimmick. He was one of the few that was a great face or a heel. His story is like most in the industry. Main event star that is left battered and beaten and sometimes broke. He doesn't seem bitter, but at peace with life.

Behind the scenes stories are truly amazing. Vince's egomania, Shawn Michael's hypocrisy, and the early politics of HHH. Many of these stars were heroes come to life. In private ... Read More
