Perhaps if enough of us mention it in a review, it will happen!! Ann Blyth is such a poop in Mildred Pierce- yet such a lovely gentle young woman in this film, it just confirms how underated her performances were. Yes - Yes, it's a "chick flick" but soooo worth it. You cheer for her, cry for her and beam with pride for her by the end of the film. Very delightful performances by the entire cast. Rating: - It's a shame this one isn't on DVD yet !What a wonderful movie! My mom and I enjoyed watching this movie all over again after not seeing it in years! My best friend in California was adopted and I can remember asking my mom what that meant because I had never known anyone who was adopted.
