This programmable machine makes it so easy, there's no excuse for not making your own breads. You can put all the ingredients into the machine the night before, or the morning of, and program it to have the bread ready and waiting at the appropriate time. Amazon.com Review: What used to be a time-consuming, messy process is now a snap. Measure the ingredients into the Breadman Plus, push a few buttons, then go for a walk in the park. Return a few hours later--or after a good night's sleep--to the unforgettable aroma and taste of homemade bread. This machine will even make the jam to top it off. The Breadman Ultimate makes and bakes most kinds of yeast bread--white, whole wheat, rye, honey banana, or crusty French--as well as quick or batter breads. Try the recipes in the booklet or your own favorites--just be sure the dry ingredients total less than about 5 cups so the dough doesn't overflow the 9-1/2-inch (nonstick) baking pan. If your recipe calls for adding ingredients late in the kneading cycle, there's a tray to hold and automatically dispense them. If you want to make bread that doesn't conform to the loaf shape, the machine can mix and raise the dough prior to shaping for baking in a conventional oven. For the beginner the process couldn't be easier, and even if you're an old hand at making bread from scratch, you'll find yourself baking much more frequently. And this machine quickly pays for itself: think of how many $3 or $4 loaves you won't be buying over the bread maker's lifetime! One drawback is worth noting: If you're a fan of the Breadman Plus, you may be less satisfied with the mixing results of the Ultimate's single bread hook versus the Plus's dual dough hooks. --Toni Reineke Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Dough or baked bread is quick and simpleI have had the Breadman Ultimate TR2200C now for about 3 years and continue to use it about once a week. It only takes a few minutes to throw the ingredients in for bread to be finished baking in about 3 hours or program it to have the bread ready later, for example for morning breakfast. I often use the dough cycle and bake on a stone in the oven. For the past several years I have purchased the 50 pound bags of flour at Costco and go through over 100 pounds of flour per year. When ... Read More Rating: - Nice when it worksThis is a nice machine with lots of features except it did not last very long. From day one the light would not go off when lid was closed and the pan would come lose while mixing and flop around in the chamber but we figured out how to get around it. We have had it about a year and a half and made maybe 50 loafs of bread in it probably only around 30. My wife made a loaf this morning and now the control panel won't turn on any more. This is the second Breadman we have had and both lasted only 18 ... Read More Rating: - Great bread makerI was given this bread machine and it was used but well cared for but the instruction manual had been misplaced. So having never made bread before I looked up a recipe on the internet and did what it said and surprise-really perfect bread the first time, and the next, and the next. This machine does the work and does it at the right time. Real cooks, which I am not, tried my bread and all said it was better than they could make themselves. I like how the control panel lets me know what is happening, ... Read More Rating: - Great Bread machine!! Yeast or No Yeast! Many options!!I got this bread machine from Walmart.com about 5 years ago. I tried many options and it has so many more! I have successfully used many recipes and different grains with and without yeast. The first few I made were tossed like footballs. I was adjusting a recipe I had been using to make 2 loaves from scratch. But, when I got it right, you could not believe how much it smelled sooo good , even outside! I had to give my neighbors a loaf. I did try the jam cycle and it was delicious but runny. I ... Read More Rating: - BreadmanI liked this machine but I wore it out. Making a loaf of bread once a week of a year and it wouldn't mix the bread any more. I guess I just wore it out - I mix my bread by hand now. Browse for similar items by category:
