The lens weighs only 2 ounces and slips onto the camera for close-up photos within 2 to 4 feet underwater and 10 inches on land. For distances over 4 feet, simply slip the lens off, even when underwater.The multi-coated lens enhances red and yellow color and reduces excessive blue color while providing exceptional clarity. Underwater photography has some difficulties, which SeaLife's 3x macro lens/underwater filter helps to overcome. The lens coating filters the blue colors so common in underwater environments and enhances the lush red and yellow colors of various aquatic creatures. The filter also reduces backscatter, a phenomenon in which the flash reflects off small particles in the water, creating white dots in the picture. The macro lens snaps on easily to any Sealife camera and also comes with a quick-release snap hook that attaches to the camera body.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Dont' buy a reefmaster without it!
This lens is essential to getting good underwater pictures with either of the new Digital cameras that Reefmaster offers. I took mine to the Cayman Islands and after only a few shots, decided to leave the lens on for almost all my underwater shots! The improvement was immediately "clear". Get one!

I think this is a wonderful filter and good for beginners and or advanced poeple. This is something you need to get started.
