The electric peppermill with light is so easy to use that by just pressing the button, it automatically dipenses peppercorns. A mini light illuminates the area below the mill and requires six AAA batteries.

This electric pepper mill has a modern shape that is beautiful to behold and and a superior grinding mechanism that meets the expectations of picky chefs. The mill has a brushed 18/10 stainless steel body with a glass window for monitoring how many peppercorns remain in the chamber. Pressing the button on top of the electric pepper mill commences grinding and pepper output. A lamp at the bottom lights up during grinding so that, even at a dimly lit dining table, you can always see how much pepper is landing on your green salad or salmon fillet. The grinder has a patented carbon steel grinding gear for long-lasting use and a dial on the underside of the mill controls the fineness of the grind (clockwise for fine and counter-clockwise for coarse). A plastic lid covers the grinder opening when the mill is at rest on a table or countertop. The electric pepper mill runs on six AAA batteries (not included) and the locking housing cover twists and lifts to expose the battery housing for installation. The battery housing also easily lifts from the base to refill the supply chamber with peppercorns. Our old electric grinder was much less substantial, continually disassembled itself and was a nuisance by comparison.

This grinder is solid, grinds pepper perfectly and has an excellent quality exterior.

I am very pleased with the MIU Stainless Steel Battery Operated Electic Salt Mill. My only question is why do they say in the directions it is not made for salt? It appears that they just took the MIU Pepper Mill (which I have) and put it in a salt mill box. As of right now it works so I am pleased (at least until it corrodes from the salt).

I bought this after my old battery operated grinder stopped working after several years. I am very happy with this and I entertain a lot. Everyone always "hints" at how much they like it and now I have to buy one for one of my close friend's birthday next month...I guess that's the downside -It will keep costing you money! Too bad they are not cheaper.
