Every part can be replaced, not that you'd need to unless you ran it over with a truck or something. These harps are the loudest I've played and the tone and ease I have playing them is unmatched by Hohners which I've also tried. The beard bite thing I ran into as well on occasion... but only when I was badly in need of a trim, in any case, covering the bolts with a piece of tape or a trim ...
