Product Description:
The first full-featured trainer designed for both the professional trainer & the average pet owner with no training experience. Use it to deter unwanted behavior such as digging, chewing on furniture, jumping on guests or barking or use it for basic obedience training. You control whether to send a tone only or a static stimulation. Eight levels of correction allow you to adjust the level of stimulation to your dogs temperament with a range up to 100 yards. Tone only feature reinforces commands without correction. Unique identification code in transmitter prevents outside interference.

- "Better together" batteries are not the right ones
The trainer itself is working fine, but wanted to alert folks, and Amazon.com that the "Better together" batteries are NOT the right ones. The small dog unit shipped to me uses 2 3V CR2032s, but I was sent 2 pre-packaged 6V RFA-67s (PetSafe's part number) which are obviously for some other unit.

I ordered this product for use with training my Chihuahua. It was too large and bulky for such a small dog (12#). Appeared to be well made, IMHO would be OK for a dog above 15# or so, minimum. Returned for an Innotek "Lap Dog Trainer". The Innotek was more money and had considerably less features. It fit just fine,however. I used the optional "close" (REAL small dog) contacts. I would rather have used this (Petsafe) trainer if the receiver weren't so large.

Works wonderful. Purchased as per our trainers advice and we have used for 3 weeks now. You do need to turn off after each use or it burns thru batteries after a while and they cost about $7.

I bought this to help train my 9 month old, 7 lb Cockapoo on a few issues that she was having some difficulties with and it has worked WONDERS! I've only had to actually use the "shock" setting a couple of times. Before I used that setting, I always gave her two warning beeps and said "NO" first. Now, all it takes is the warning beep or a firm, stern "NO" to make her behave. Worked very well! Bought an extra set of batteries and haven't had to use them yet. Just put in on while she is outside to teach her the boundaries of the property and come when called. Made training very easy!
