Product Description: Durable enough to handle the roughest pavement and rock-strewn trails, the Giro Havoc Mountain Bike HelmetĀ is a built for riders who want top-level performance and value in a low-profile helmet. This mountain-bike helmet is constructed with in-mold technology that fuses a tough outer microshell to the helmet's EPS foam liner. The fusion process reinforces areas around vents and ribs, making the helmet lighter, cooler and tougher. The Havoc utilizes Giro's Roc Loc 3 system, which includes tensioning and positioning adjustments, plus variable-fit belt anchor points for a truly custom fit and feel. This Giro helmet features 27 vents that allow cool, fresh air in and stale, warm air out, as well as a snap-fit visor. About Giro Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty musch anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet. ![]() Rating: - Nice Havoc HelmetI've been mountain biking as a hobby for a couple years and this helmet was my second serious helmet purchase. Pros: Looks good Adjustable head strap in back Comfortable Cons: Chin straps sit a little funny under the ears Rating: - Great helmet for a cheap priceI've had my Havoc for two years. It fits great and is easily adjusted on the fly with one hand. I tried on all kinds of helmets from $50 up to $150 and the Havoc was the winner when it came down to price and performance. Sadly I have to retire my helmet today. I had a pretty bad mountain bike crash and broke the helmet in two places. But I came out of the crash with no head injuries so I have to give it 5 stars for protection. Rating: - Giro Havoc - excellent helmet!I love this helmet. I've had mine for a year and a half and would recommend it highly. I just bought another one for a friend. The adjustable fit is great because I can wear it with a lightweight fleece beanie in the winter, or no hat in the summer and I just change the adjustable headband to fit. Works great. Lightweight, well ventilated, and well constructed. Rating: - Good HelmetComfortable, good fit. Great ventalation. I feel like in a crash my brain will be at least somewhat protected. Rating: - Giro Havoc bike helmetThe helmet came damaged. Amazon could not replace it for a month so I bought it elsewhere. I have not been able to get Amazon to send me a return shipping label even tho one of their employees promised to do so on July 27, and I have emailed them since. THE AMAZON REVIEW IS: DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE=0 STARS. The helmet review is: fine, but buy it elsewhere. (Maybe this review will result in someone contacting me so I can return the defective helmet at their expense, ... Read More Browse for similar items by category:
