We have had the trap for less than a week and have had 3 captures already.We just came back from taking a squirrel for a ride to his new home in a nice woodsy area! the Havahart trap is a big success!

Chip monks & squirrels were eating my potted cherry tomato vine. I thought a $20 investment is worth the joy of your own fresh juicy tasty tomatoes. I got one guy but next a squirrel got in. This guy couldn't get out but fought the cage out of shape. By the time I dropped him off 5 miles away, the cage was no longer usable. The door didn't slide smoothly any more. They kept coming into the trap, eating my cut fruits and thanking me. I attracted more critters than before! Need sturdier stuff. ... Read More

I had a family of chipmunks living in the area under my patio and against my house. I used the Havahart 0745 trap to catch and relocate 9 chipmunks so far. Once I actually set it, then sat on the patio nearby for a break. Within 10 minutes, I watched a chipmunk enter and be caught. I used a birdseed mix for bait and they really liked the sunflower seeds.

Actually, this does work quite well for catching chipmunks. I had a mole and called a professional trapper, and said by the way, what about the chipmunks running around. So he caught the mole and three chipmunks with his traps, then figured he was done. I bought one of these traps for the $20 or so because I saw another chipmunk and figured I could do the trapping. So far 13 chipmunks and 2 squirrels have been caught, so this works very well.
