They aren't as strong as the Hefty bags I switched from, but I don't feel as guilty on trash day - I'd rather use recycled plastic bags than regular ones. I use these in my big garage trash can and, really, they aren't THAT flimsy - I don't want to make them sound like anything more than a tissue will tear it. Read More Rating:  - The bags seem OK, but the boxes were coming apartThe bags are ok, not the strongest and a little smaller than other brands marked as the same gallon size, but they hold up pretty well. I don't know if it's worth the extra money, except that it helps the environment. I unpacked the 12 boxes from the shipping box, and about 1/2 of boxes that hold the trash bags were torn and/or coming apart, as if they had been wet on the bottom.
