- Wiped 'Em Out. Completely.
We bought these traps after trying the humane catch and release type.
The previous traps didnt discourage the mice in our house at all.

After finding a mouse in my box of cereal one morning, I decided to ramp up our effort a large notch.

I got these traps and DCon's Mouse Prufe II.
Killed about 4 mice within 4 weeks and that was it.
No more mice at all after having had the problem off and on for 4 years.

These traps are the best. I got all different types of traps all over but this is the only one that catches the critters. After using them for years, I found tricks to increase the chance of a catch. First, use them back to back facing different direction against a wall. Mice are near sighted so they run along walls to know where they are going. Second, put the traps where you see droppings. - Super little trap..
This has been the best and easiest to use trap I have found so far. I bought 4 of these. With one of the traps I caught 27 mice in just over 24 hours. I guess it was placed just right. I did catch a few more in the other traps. The only problem I have had with them is the locking mech. quit working on 1 and has gotten weak on another. But overall I give them a thumbs up. - Finally it worked!
I have two things to add that I didn't see in the other reviews.

1. This DID NOT work immediately. For some reason the mouse would just not even look at it. I eventually got it to work when I put some peanut butter on one of the wooden mouse traps. The mouse ate all of the bait on that trap without setting it off, and then he must've been hungry for more. He FINALLY went to get some peanut butter bait from the d-con, and WHAM, dead on site.

- Mine didn't work.
The hook that holds the metal bar in place doesn't work on mine. I know that if I didn't have a defective trap, it would have probably worked... but who knows with my mouse. It's managed to set off but avoid 1 Snap-E trap and 3 ordinary d-Con wooden traps. I was hoping this would do the trick, as I've had to move the food in my cupboards and pantry twice and tape up any and all openings, no matter how small and it seems to be working.
