So this game was not what I was expecting when I bought it. I was thinking it was more like a Sims game but with your Mii's. Not so.

Do not get me wrong though, the game is fun, cute, and some silly things about it. It took me a few to get use to the controls, but I am sure that kids would pick it up like nothing.

Not the most challenging thing around at all, but still entertaining.

MySims is created by EA Games, the same creator as The Sims. I love The Sims games but tire of repeating the same thing over and over again just to look after the Sim's interests. In my opinion this is a great game if you want a change of pace from the original Sims games. You get to build houses and furniture and so on in this game. I'm a 29 year old female and I love playing MySims. I love it so much I bought the MySims game for DS (which is NOT just the same game on the hand held but different enough to warrant the buy) and the new Wii MySims Kingdom game. I have played The Sims game on the PC before and kind of enjoyed it but it only kept my interest for so long. I got this for my 6 yr. old daughter but the building system was too complicated for her, so I started playing and got HOOKED! I don't know how many hours of my life were wasted away to this game.

-Highly customizable world and characters. Great if you are a customizing junkie. No one's world will look the same.

-Not like regular Sims games (which I can't stand). You don't sit around waiting for your Sim to do things, you have set goals to accomplish.

Santa brought this game for my then 9 year old son, who is a big fan of the fighting games - Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. Santa thought he should try something different. He's gotten to a 4-star town with over 40 hours of play. He enjoys hanging out with the virtual friends like DJ Candy and Travis and dancing with them and playing music.
