Fortunately, Chacos are extremely adjustable, so I can make the loop comfortable, thus it doesn't bother me! These sandals have excellent arch support. The footbed takes a while to get used to (at least for my sensitive feet) since it's made out of hard rubber and it's not soft. However, it is very supportive, so I didn't miss my usual soft footbeds after about a week. It also takes a while for your feet to get used to the very form-fitting straps. It took me a few days to figure out the straps so that my feet didn't move around but didn't cramp due to a tight fit. ...
