- Takes pictures that rival an SLR in quality!
I received this camera a few days ago and I am absolutely thrilled with it. This is coming from a person who only loved Fuji cameras in the past, and I've had several Fuji's. My last one was an S700 - one of those huge SLR wannabees - well I got tired of the huge size of the S700 so I decided to venture out of the box and try a different brand.

I have tried Kodak's, Pentax's, Canon's and even a Nikon Coolpix and this Panasonic TZ4 wins hand-down.

- Failed in 4 months, warranty too short, other problems
This camera has great features and great value.
Except:
1. The camera failed after 4 months--and wouldn't turn on.
2. The camera has a problem focusing when you're fully zoomed in
3. The control wheel at the top is poorly designed so that it gets moved and out of place all the time
4. The warranty that Panasonic extends is criminally short: 90 days!
5. The screen sticks out from the camera making it vulnerable to breakage and making it highly susceptible to glare. ... Read More

I have previously owned a DMC-TZ3 and enjoyed it very much and originally purchased it for the zoom capabilities. However it was ruined by my best friend while on vacation so it needed to be replaced.
