Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Help for the everyday non-perfect dieter
I am a fan of Hungry girl. She tries. She really tries to think of ways to lower the Weight watchers points values (usually adding more fiber) while not totally sacrificing taste. Some of these are definitely recipes that will not be repeated after I tried them. You have to try them anyway because you just don't know what will become a favorite. So far I am loving the yum yum brownies (better cold from the fridge after cooled), butternut squash fries (even though it is a total pain to peel and chop), and I am really looking forward to trying the shirataki noodles. You can buy shirataki noodles that have zero calories as well as the brand that she recommends. Bottom line, hungry girl is about experimentation with food and having fun while cooking and realizing that we have to lower calories and up the fiber in order to lower weight. Yes, some of the names are a bit much, but it is all in the spirit of trying to embrace cooking and your food while lowering calories. It certainly takes some of the sting out of it for sure. Remember that this is a DIET cookbook people, and then from that expectation your tastebuds might stop rebelling quite so loudly.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This book changed my LIFE!
I lost 30 pounds in the first three months of using this book. I love the food. It was a big change in eating habits for me, but I feel much happier and lighter now. Try it out.Hungry Girl: Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My entire family loves this book !
In just 3 weeks I have lost 17 lbs and my husband has lost 15 lbs! So far we haven't tried a recipe we haven't loved. The chicken quesadillas are my favorite and the turkey meatloaf runs a very close second! Most everything has been quick to fix - so it fits into our busy schedules. Give it a try .. you won't be disappointed !

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great low point recipes!
Whenever I am running low on ideas for what to cook, I open up my Hungry Girl book to find an easy recipe that is good for you. A majority of the recipes that I have made are really good and everyone around me would never know that they are good for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Easy and very helpful!
This book is a lifesaver for people who are busy but still want a good, healthy, easy to make meal or snack. I love this book because the recipes are mostly for one person. This works out a lot better for me than following recipes in traditional cookbooks, which tend to make the recipes for 4 or more people. ( I know I can portion it out and save it for later, but this doesn't always work out for me.)

I'm a Weight Watchers member as well, and the Hungry Girl website lists the Points values for every recipe in the book. The Points are not listed inside the book, which I was a little disappointed over, so I just penciled them in lightly by each recipe. It's sort of a hassle, but worth it.

I don't consider myself a chef or anything, but these recipes are sooo easy! I highly recommend this book.
